Last night, the Board of Directors and some of our volunteers for Joy In The Cause (JITC) attended a fundraising gala. Ted Robertson of Robertson Tire, and the Young Businessmen of Tulsa (YBT) held the Law Enforcement Gala benefiting JITC and the project ‘Joy To The Rescue, Kids in Crisis’. All proceeds are geared toward placing two backpacks in each TPD police car. The backpacks will be given to children in crisis. They range from children needing first responders to children that are abruptly removed from their homes. The backpacks will help responders provide basic necessities for kids in crisis. Tonight, Tulsa Police Chief Jordan spoke passionately about his life long mission to serve and protect the citizens of Tulsa. Our local police chief works diligently to protect and serve our citizens and he is eager to equip his police cars with backpacks to help break barriers with children they serve and protect.
Our board of directors was privileged enough to witness such a loving community of business professionals who honor the servants of Tulsa. Tonight’s event was heartfelt and contagious. Joy In The Cause is so grateful to be in the presence of so many kind and giving Oklahoman’s.
To find out more about our Joy To The Rescue Project, just go to the
“Project” tab at the top of the home page. There is a need for continual support to keep these backpacks going out. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
